Terms of Service

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Tactiq, and govern your use of the Tactiq app and this website (the "Service"). By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

The Service is provided by Tactiq.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to hold a Tactiq account. Where a club includes children, the club is responsible for having the consent it needs from a parent or guardian, and a club admin may link a guardian to a young player so the guardian can act for them. A guardian is responsible for the activity they carry out on a child's behalf.

3. Your account

Keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Give us accurate information and keep it current. Tell us at tactiqclub@gmail.com if you think someone else has used your account.

You can sign in with an email and password, with Google or Apple, or with a one-time link sent to your email.

4. What Tactiq does

Tactiq helps sports clubs schedule fixtures and training, collect availability, select squads, assign volunteer duties, record results and statistics, send messages, and request and record payments. Features change over time, and we may add to, alter or withdraw parts of the Service.

5. Clubs, and what other members can see

Tactiq is a shared club app. When you join a club, other members of that club can see information you contribute, as described in our Privacy Policy. Club admins can manage members, assign roles, link guardians to young players, and raise payment requests.

Your club controls its own club. We are not responsible for decisions a club makes about its members, its selections, its fees or its conduct. If you have a dispute with your club, take it up with the club.

6. Payments

Tactiq is free. There is no subscription, no paid tier and no charge to download or use the app.

Payments run between you and your club, not between you and us. When a club collects subs, match fees or other charges through Tactiq, the club is the one being paid, into the club's own Stripe account. We are not a party to that financial relationship and we are not the merchant of record.

Card fees. Card payments are processed by Stripe and carry a fee of 3.25% + £0.45 of the amount charged, which includes a 25p share for Tactiq. Recording a cash or bank transfer payment is free, and clubs that only collect cash do not need a Stripe account at all.

Who pays the card fee. Your club chooses, per payment request, and the amount you will be charged is always shown to you before you pay. If the club passes the fee on, a £20.00 charge means the payer pays £21.14 and the club receives £20.00. If the club absorbs it, the payer pays £20.00 and the club receives £18.90.

Do not change any of the figures in the paragraph above. They are correct.

Refunds are handled by your club. If you think you have been charged in error, or you want a refund, contact your club in the first instance. Contact us at tactiqclub@gmail.com if the club cannot resolve it. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.

Card details. Card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We never see or store them.

7. Acceptable use, and zero tolerance for objectionable content

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on Tactiq. Content that is harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, defamatory or otherwise objectionable is prohibited, and so is abusive, bullying or harmful conduct towards other users.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• post, send or share objectionable content as described above
• harass, bully, threaten, impersonate or abuse anyone
• break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or send spam
• cause harm to a child
• try to access accounts or data that are not yours
• disrupt, attack, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service

8. User content and moderation

You are responsible for the content you submit. We provide tools for every user to keep the Service safe:

• Report. You can flag any message you find objectionable.
• Block. You can block another user. Their messages leave your view immediately and they can no longer message you.
• Filtering. Messages are screened for objectionable language before they send.

We review reports of objectionable content and abusive users and act within 24 hours, by removing the offending content and, where warranted, removing the user responsible. We may remove content, or suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with or without notice.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display it purely in order to operate the Service. You confirm you have the right to share what you post.

10. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, branding and the content we provide, belongs to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it in line with these Terms.

11. Ending your account

You can leave at any time. Delete your account in the app under Profile then Account, or follow the instructions at https://www.tactiqclub.com/delete-your-account.

If you own a club, you must transfer ownership of it or delete the club first, because deleting your account would otherwise leave the club without an owner.

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or where the law requires it.

Some provisions survive termination, including sections 9, 10, 12, 13 and 15.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, timely or error free. Tactiq is an organisational tool: we are not responsible for a fixture that does not go ahead, a squad that turns up short, a payment a member does not make, or any other outcome of how your club runs itself.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill.

Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to £100, or the total fees we have received in relation to your use of the Service in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.

If you are a consumer, this does not affect your statutory rights.

14. General

Changes. We may update the Service and these Terms. For material changes we will give reasonable notice in the app or by email, and continuing to use the Service afterwards means you accept the updated Terms.

Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues in force.

Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service.

Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a business sale or reorganisation.

No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not lose it.

Events beyond our control. We are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to bring a claim where you live and the benefit of any mandatory local consumer protections.

16. App store terms

If you download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you also agree to that store's terms.

Apple. These Terms are between you and Tactiq, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, or for any claim that the app fails to conform to a warranty, infringes intellectual property, or breaches consumer protection law. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as terrorist supporting, and are not on any US Government restricted-parties list.

Google. Use of the app obtained from Google Play is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

1. Eligibility and accounts for minors

Tactiq Club is a general-audience service for sports clubs that is also used by children through guardian-managed accounts. You must be old enough to consent to online services where you live (at least 13 in the UK; 13–16 in the EU depending on country). A minor below that age may only use the Service through an account set up and managed by a parent or guardian, who must provide the consent required by law (including verifiable parental consent for children under 13 in the US). The guardian is responsible for the minor’s use of the Service and for the accuracy of the information they provide.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Tell us promptly at tactiqclub@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised use.

3. Subscriptions, payments and refunds

Some features require a paid subscription. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not store your card details. By subscribing you authorise Stripe to charge your chosen payment method. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled before the renewal date, and you can cancel at any time through your account, after which access continues until the end of the current paid period. Refunds are handled in line with our payment provider Stripe’s processes and applicable consumer law; if you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at tactiqclub@gmail.com. Where you purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play instead, that store processes and bills the payment under its own terms and handles refunds.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: break the law or others’ rights; upload harmful, abusive, or infringing content; attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours; interfere with or reverse-engineer the Service; or use it to harm a child. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

5. User content

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to host and display it solely to operate the Service. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to share it.

6. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, branding and content we provide, belongs to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service in line with these Terms.

7. Termination and account deletion

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time — in the app or via app.tactiqclub.com/delete-account. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or where required by law. Some provisions (such as liability limits) survive termination.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Tactic Club is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This clause does not limit consumer rights that apply under your local law.

10. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms. For material changes we will give reasonable notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

12. App store terms

If you download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you also agree to that store’s terms.

Apple. These Terms are between you and Tactic Club, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support or handle claims relating to the app, and any product warranty failure is our responsibility. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and are not on a US Government restricted-parties list.

Google. Your use of the app obtained from Google Play is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
